There are many areas in which Honeyridge members and non-members can be involved in the life of the church. Below are just a few areas in which you can be involved. You can also view a list of all the current Honeyridge ministries available. If you would like more information on one of the ministries below or if there is another area in which you’d like to become involved, please contact the church office.

MEN’S MINISTRIES

Men Connected

When: Friday from 05h45 – 07h00
Where: Honeyridge Baptist Church
Who: Men – All welcome

Men Connected is a ministry focused on the men of our church. We meet on a Friday morning at the church from 05h45 to 07h00. Typically, the programme consists of teaching for about 30 minutes, followed by fellowship around coffee and muffins, and then a time of prayer, either in groups or collectively. We are fortunate to have a good number and high caliber of teachers amongst us. We have place for many more men on a Friday morning so all are welcome. 

Soup Kitchen

When: Saturday Mornings
Where: Honeyridge Baptist Church

We are a small group of people involved in preparation, cooking and serving soup. We serve between 50-60 people every Saturday at a garage opposite Zandspruit. There we share the Gospel with them, give out tracts and the Challenge Newspaper and pray for and with them.

WOMEN’S MINISTRIES

Heart to Heart Ladies Ministry

Who: Ladies

Heart to Heart Ladies Ministry is involved in numerous ministries and activities focused around ladies. Some highlights include special events and teas for ladies, weekly Bible-studies for ladies and many other activities. If you’d like to join us, please contact the church office and we’ll put you in touch with the relevant people.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Griefshare Courses

When: Various Dates & Times
Where: Honeyridge Baptist Church
Ages: All Welcome

Griefshare Courses are held during the course of each year. These courses are aimed at providing support and giving perspective during your time of grief. You are also welcome to attend this course if you would like to equip yourself  to be able to support friends or family  during their time of grieving. You do not have to be affiliated with Honeyridge to attend these courses. Please contact the church office to enquire about course dates.

CELL GROUPS

Adult Cell Groups

When: Wednesday Evenings
Where: Various Locations
Ages: Adults

There are a number of cell groups that meet weekly on Wednesday evenings. The groups meet to study the Bible together, pray, fellowship and encourage one another. There are also a number of groups which meet at other times. If you are interested in joining a group, please contact the church office and you will be provided with some more information.

Young Adult Cell Groups

When: Wednesday at 19h30

Ages: Young Adults, Out of School

Young Adult Cell Groups are comprised of young adults, from school leavers to young married couples, sharing life together. Young Adults meet weekly on Wednesday evenings to study the Bible together, share one another’s burdens and to support each other. If you are interested in joining us, please contact the church office who will put you in contact with the appropriate people.
